Bitwright Software LicensesBitwright Software products are developers’ tools. They are licensed on a per-developer basis. That is to say that a license is required for each individual developer who will use the tool. There are no runtime royalties for Bitwright tools. You can distribute the applications you write using Bitwright tools in any way you like — publicly or privately, paid or free — without further obligation to Bitwright Software. When you purchase a license for a tool from Bitwright Software, you will receive a license “key” that will permanently enable the tool. Every key is different; to work, a key needs to match the “Name” supplied to the tool’s Installation Wizard at install time. When you buy a license, Bitwright will ask you what “Name” we should use to generate your key. Installing a Bitwright product with the SETUP utility included in the distribution package activates a free 30-day evaluation license. Under this license, all of the product’s features are enabled — and a reminder message showing the remaining term of the evaluation license appears each time the product is started. At the end of the 30-day evaluation period, the product will stop working unless the evaluation license has been converted to a permanent license with a key purchased from Bitwright Software. Applications built with evaluation-licensed Bitwright tools will also stop working at the end of the original evaluation period. You should not distribute applications built with evaluation-licensed Bitwright tools. |
